A Taste of Literary Women and Wine

This unique experience combines an exploration into women’s imprint on the literary world, as well as the world of wine. We’ll take a stroll through Saint Germain-des-Prés walking in the footsteps of female writers, examining the development of the Women’s Liberation Movement in France and making a few stops along the way to taste and learn about a selection of delicious wines.

  • This tour is only for people ages 18+
  • Tuesday – Saturday from 6:30 – 8:30 pm

We will visit various sites where women writers lived and worked and begin by pairing with a taste through Burgundy (Bourgogne) as a homage to Colette and George Sand with a timeless display of both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay crafted by female winemakers from the female run organization, Femmes et Vin de Bourgogne.

Traveling South to the famous region of Bordeaux, guests will be introduced to blends and their impact on other parts of the world simultaneously to Sylvia Beach’s influence on Paris and some of the great writers of our time.

You will leave with knowledge of how to taste and compare wines as well as having gained insight into Paris’s historical female literary scene and how they still impact our lives today. The experience is sure to entertain, enlighten and invigorate the senses!
