New Parisienne; The Ideas and Women Shaping Paris

An essential read for anyone interested in exploring intersectional feminism in its global scale—this nonfiction book focuses on giving voices to Parisian women previously forgotten by our patriarchal history. Additionally, author Lindsey Tramuta has another book titled The New Paris: The People, Places and Ideas Fueling a Movement. This book showcases modern Parisienne culture and highlights places to eat, drink, stay, and shop.

 
 

 
Combat cocktails

This bar is entirely run by women and won the 2018 Guide Fooding Best Author's Bar award! It has a casual atmosphere, perfect for everyone. With so many delicious creations to try…all cocktails are between 10-12€. If you can’t decide which drink to get, we recommend the cocktail du jour!

Down a passage off the beaten track in Saint Germain des Prés, the Espace des Femmes is a multifunctional space created by and for women, celebrating the women’s liberation movement in France. The first women’s publishing house in Europe, a bookshop and a gallery space.

Venus s’épilait la chatte podcast

This podcast deconstructs the patriarchal narrative of western art history, and takes a deep dive into portrayals of women artists and women in paintings. Starting in 2019, there are a total of 11 episodes, ranging from 25 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, all hosted by Julie Beauzac. We recommend starting with the episode on Picasso!
